what to do now

ds1 was seen by pead back on november. sent out conner scale to home and school and sent back, have since been seen by family liason officer at school(unhelpful) HV once and ed psych twice. first term at school, school telling ed psych they had no concerns and couldnt fathom the behaviour we were having at home. Saw ed psych on wednesday and finally he is displaying the behaviours at school now as well as at home. I feel releived as I was beginning to think school were thinking of me as this nuerotic parent that cant discipline her child! now they are starting to experience bits of what I deal with on a daily basis. we go back to the paed in may and Im wondering if I should phone and ask if they can send out another conner scale to school as I suspect the answers from school will be significantly different to what they were at the end of last year-he seemed to be holding together at school pretty well, now that changing.
will the paed agree or will they take the schools first answers as definite IYSWIM?

not sure what to do now. havent heard from HV since feb and behaviours not getting any better, worse in some aspects.
Deep down Im so sure theres something not right, possibly adhd+odd but I dont want to say this outright to the paed.
Its just so exhausting and I wish there was more help, Ive no idea what to expect when we go back in may, Im guessing they'll talk about the results of conners scale(?) then will it be another 6 months before seeing them? and if she concludes then, that there is nothing wrong with him, what happens then??

Out of interest, how old is your ds ? and yes, I think the Connor questionnaire should go back to school a.s.a.p. The dx for ADHD has to state that symptoms have been evident in 2 or more 'areas' of life ie: school, home, socially and must have been present for at least 6 months consecutively. I hope you don't have to go back to sqaure one with pead appointments etc. I would chivvy them along a lot .... get on the phone and bug them. It's a bloody nightmare playing the waiting game My ds2 dx ADHD is 6.9.

My ds was assesed useing the connor scale which the school sent back saying nothing wrong with him, I only found this out when we went to see the paed. She said she didn't belive what the school had said and set another to be done, which was done by another teacher as ds had gone up a year. This came back as yes there is a problem and ds has been officialy ADHD for 2 years now.
So yes they will redo the testing if needed.

ok, thanks for replies. will get onto them tommorrow and request another scale sent out, might write them a letter also.
ds1 is 5.2
btw, does anyone else with boys get fe up of family members/friends saying "all boys are like that" ahhh, I think if one more person says it Ill rip here bleedin head off. all my friends have boys and they are all 1-4 yrs older than ds1 and have had nothing like the problems were having. I appreciate all boys can be defient, agressive, noresponsive, bouisterus etc etc to a degree, but they dont understand this is CONSTANT...its exhausting isnt it.

Can I also ask if anybody has gone down the medicatio route-ritalin? if so, how have you found it? any terrible side affects? do you find it helps?

any help/advice/tips much appreciated xx
