Sorry, but I'm having real problems putting cream on ds(6 - strong sensory issues, possible AS).

He has a rash around his mouth which just isnot shifting and he keeps licking it to make it moist (which of course is making it worse).

He will not have cream on at all. He screams and fights. I've tried letting him do it. He won't. I've tried doing it while he is asleep. He wakes up and wipes it off. I've tried bribery and corruption. Even a star wars toy carries no weight compared to cream.

I've coloured it. Used different types.

All make no difference.

Any thoughts/advice??

Could he try patting it on with a wipe or flannel ( the way we pat off lipstick). Ds used to be very anti creams ( i had to sneak in at night) but little by little he has got more accepting. We started with wiping on cream with a wipe- now he can use his finger - he is much older. Also does the cream sting? We use vasaline - then put the stingy cream on later ( half hour) once the vasaline has calmedthings down. Wish you luck!
