We have just been on holiday for 5 days camping my dd who has a ritual for pooing would not go to the toilet for the full holiday, we had to cut our holiday short cos she was in agony so she could home and put her pull up on, stand on her yellow box with her toys aroundn her to have 5 days worth of poo. Just wanted a little rant, it upsets me to think that she goes through this. Never mind chin up i suppose

{{{{hugs}}}} MTP.
If it helps, DD went on the toilet three times this last week. Only 4 months ago I wouldn't have thought it possible but she has gone from pull-up to potty to toilet (with the odd accident still) in that time.
Sometimes it clicks eventually, really it does.
Poor little mite. Hope she feels better now!

my ds is just the same so i really sympathize with you at these times we use lactulose and senna so he cant possibly hold it in

its distressing for him but it has made him more comfortable with pooing now but still only in a nappy

I know you have probably thought of this but why not take the yellow box on holiday ? Place it by the toilet ?

Dd2 was the same last year , we are going on holiday in 3 weeks time so we may have the same problem again.

It wouldnt matter if we took the yellow box she is very ritualistic and needs everything to be the same for her to go to the toilet.

She is on constant laxatives anyway and can even hold it in after picolax!! She just likes her routines and has lots of phobias, came home cos we didnt want to end up in hospital. Marne hope dd2 is ok in 3 weeks

mtp, how old is your dd?

I had this with my ds last year, but for peeing and pooing, we went camping and had to come home when he didn't pee for nearly 24 hrs, I was so worried about him, gradually six months of constant reassurance and no pressure, lots of treats and incentives, he finally is getting there, now he sometimes even says he needs to go to the loo.

we were giving him senna and lactulose but I have to admit to being quite impressed by his will not to go even using medication.

I hope things improve for you, I still feel quite worried about gong anywhere with ds in case he regresses, he likes being at home.
