Anywhere??? Not ASD related, more SLD, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and non verbal. I know of secondary age residential schools but not primary age. Had a query on the phoneline and I dont have an answer for her. Not bothered which part of the country at the moment-she just wants to look into them for a little while. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks

What about St Piers in Lingfield - specialises in Epilepsy. Don't know what age they take.

Foxwood in Kent take kids from aged 5 for residential and is a very good school.

It is called NYCPE (national centre for young people with epilepsy) DH does some clinics there, they definately do 52 week placements but not sure what age. There is also Tadworth Court which definately takes younger kids.

The Camphill trust run some residential schools (Rudolf Steiner), some take younger (junior)children. I do not know the locations if any up your way. My mum used to work in one (the youngest pupil was about 7/8 I think but it was a couple of decades ago) and there seemed quite a range of ld - some of the children were non verbal.

This is a great little search engine that will help you to find all sorts of schools (not just SN schools):

Thanks for all your replies-the mum is struggling to cope as she is a single mum and also has a 6yo with dyspraxia and related issues. I'm sure she will grateful for the suggestions.
