I am very open minded about this and have had a lot of experience working with young adults with Downs syndrome, Many of which have adult relationships. I am just wondering if his mum should be advertising him like this.
I would like an adult discussion about this just to see other peoples opinions on this matter. Thanks

Why does the mother say (as quoted ) she would prefer it if any girlfriend did not have Downs ? I just feel the story is being played out in an unhealthy way - but I'm glad to hear from Kiansmummy that many others in the same situation do have relationships. It's not something for the parent to push for - it seems as if she has her own agenda.
