Anyone got any advice DS is almost 4, non verbal , mld with asd traita though i feel he is on the asd spectrum

as can see by time o posting he is awake for the 3rd time tonight goes to bedfine but then wakes while I enjoy quality time with my ds would prefer it not at 1am

You could try asking for a prescription for Melatonin. Its a natural remedy that a lot of chlldren with ASDs are prescribed to help them sleep. Melatonin is produced by the pineal gland in response to dark environments and induces sleep. There is research that shows that some with ASD do not naturally produce sufficient melatonin, hence insomnia. We get it prescribed by Cons Pyschiatrist.

yeah i did ask paed and shes like its not bad your coping dont think we need to drug him,
feeellike hmmcoping so that explains the propped open eyes and i dont have bags under my eyes I haave suitcases enough forwhole family

though hes non verbal when he wantsup he sloud enough to wake my other dc who end up tired in school ,But once hes up hes quite happy to play quitely
