That's fantastic. My son is getting his snapdragon in about 8 weeks. I can't wait.

glitteryb6 · 09/03/2009 19:51

Dans inventing something to suit him!
He's thinking "tank controls" where ds will have his hands on horizontal bars that he will push/pull.
Tis very expensive, £22K+ but this includes development costs as ds is a bit of an unknown quantity!

Fantastic news.. New bike & powerchair... they'll be no stopping him!

LGoodLife · 09/03/2009 21:46

Great! my dd2 has power chair even though she's a liability in it, it does give her some freedom (to mow people down!).

Riven - definately ask Whizzkidz, they are very experienced, we have one from them.

UniS · 09/03/2009 22:00

WOW, the snapdragon is a fantastic looking bit of kit. I hope your boy gets on with it and is soon annoyingly everywhere you least expected.

glitteryb6 · 10/03/2009 12:39

i am slightly worried that he will find it fun to run people over!

OP posts:
UniS · 11/03/2009 23:11

possibily, it will be a phase he will have to go through and come out the other side. I hear tales of a teen age lad ( I know his mother) who will merrily plough his way through a football crowd with his powerchair leading an even more VIP friend behind him. Yep, annoying but oh so very normal boy behaviour.

amber32002 · 12/03/2009 06:13

22k!!!? Blimey, it's either that or a sports car then! Brilliant news that you've got funding. What's the top speed??

glitteryb6 · 12/03/2009 17:33

about 4mph!

OP posts:
amber32002 · 12/03/2009 17:39

It'll never win at Monaco at that speed ! But great fun, all the same.

glitteryb6 · 12/03/2009 17:44

Not even if i put go faster stripes on it?

OP posts:
amber32002 · 12/03/2009 18:00

Well, maybe with low-profile tyres and a decent spoiler on the back....

glitteryb6 · 12/03/2009 18:45

dont give him ideas!

LollipopViolet · 12/03/2009 19:51

glitteryb6 · 12/03/2009 19:53
