It's a fixed seat stroller, with adjustable height footrest and optional additional support padding. We've got one for DS1 (CP dx, will be 3 in May), let me know if you want more info!

We have a "lightning" buggy - clamps into vehicule for non-walking 6 y o. On NHS

5inthebed · 05/03/2009 22:50

Ilovesprouts, I have a major for my ds2. He loves it, really easy to push in and excellent in the snow as it has big wheels.

Speak to your HV. You should be able to get one for free on NHS.

You dont get a raincover, but you can order them from Mothercare/John Lewis or direct from Maclaren. They've changed the colour of them as well. They aren't blue anymore but red and grey. I've got a basket on mine, ideal for shopping!

laumiere · 06/03/2009 23:18

5 how did you get a basket? Maclaren sid they didn't make them!

ilovesprouts, my son loves his major, he's 91st percentile for height and loves fitting his pushchair. They look like regular strollers, just bigger. We got ours through the local Children's Centre, but you can get them on eBay for £100...

5inthebed · 06/03/2009 23:33

I bought it off Ebay I had called Maclaren originally, who told me they weren't doing them at that present time, as they were chaning the colour of the pram Rather odd, but there you go.

5inthebed · 06/03/2009 23:34

You can buy them here

5inthebed · 06/03/2009 23:36

And have you seen these Was toying with the idea of getting the Iggle piggle one, or the bob the builder one.

PheasantPlucker · 07/03/2009 15:30

Those covers look great!

Mitchell81 · 07/03/2009 16:00

I agree those covers are great.

5inthebed · 07/03/2009 16:37

Sort of like a pimp my major

PheasantPlucker · 07/03/2009 16:45

And I am deffo getting one of those baskets to go underneath, I didn't know they existed.

PheasantPlucker · 07/03/2009 16:46

I am so going to start pimping the Major!!

laumiere · 08/03/2009 17:44

I have the Night Garden cover, really cuddly. DS loves it! Am getting a basket, thanks so much! I love MN!

5inthebed · 08/03/2009 17:46

Are they good quality as well? Ds2 is a right squirmer, so wouldn't want it getting ripped the same week I get it.

laumiere · 08/03/2009 18:49

I thought ours was excellent quality, well stitched and fits perfectly. I had to widen the hole for the central seatbelt column but wasn't really a problem.

Phoenix4725 · 09/03/2009 04:13

lol PheasantPlucker can see a lot of pimped up majours scurries away to start shopping

laumiere · 09/03/2009 13:07

So who's going to start the Pimp My Major thread then?

PheasantPlucker · 09/03/2009 19:46

I am going to sew on sequins and feathers! It will be fabulous darling !!

Phoenix4725 · 10/03/2009 01:47

Laumiere

Are the covers washable as Ds major gets in bit of a stat the bit being understatement, we probably get enough crumbs keep family field mice happy for a week

and oh ca n anyone tell me how do you do the crossing out
