Dd1 has had a D&V bug which seems to be clearing up but now she is scared to go to the loo because she still has loose stools. Dd1 is usualy constipated and very rarely gets tummy bugs. She says she is too scared to poo because her poo doesn't look like it should.

I'm worried that she is now holding it in which will make her ill.

Dd1 has only just got over her toilet phobia and is now asking to use the potty instead, i don't think i can go through the whole toilet phobia with her again.

I have tried to explain to her that she need's to poo to get rid of her tummy bug but i think i have made things worse . Tonight she got really upset because i asked her to sit on the loo and try to poo.

How can i help her?

How old is she Marne? I think if she's only just got over the bug I'd be inclined to let her use the potty for a while until her stools get back to normal - but (if she's old enough) maybe explain that this is what's going to happen?

Sphil- she's 5.1, She won't poo on the potty so i think by asking to use the potty she's trying to get out of pooing altogether IYKWIM. So she is weeing on the potty (which i don't mind) but i'm worried she is holding in poo as she has terrible wind (sorry if TMI).

Not TMI at all - you are speaking to someone who has been handed a poo by their child...
I think (from my experience with DS1 who used to hold his poo all the time at that age) that the best thing to do is to stop mentioning it at all - something I never managed to do I might add! DS1 also had wind, but he was never ill from it - just fidgetty and uncomfortable. And he would regularly go for a week without going at all.
