Im so happy.

DS2 has been surviving for the last few weeks (since last major melt-down over delivery man) on sliced Turkey and yoghurts.

This morning I was feeding DD some masked banana and he seemed very interested, so I offered him some on a spoon and he ate it, and then looked for some more - we managed about 6 mouthfuls.

I know this is a really small, trivial thing, and I posted it here so that I wouldnt get sneered at or looked down upon, but to me its such a massive step.

Well done DS2! I have a very fussy eater too, the only veg DS gets is ketchup/bland pizza or carrot cake.

LynetteScavo · 28/02/2009 09:09

Its' not small or trivial if it's important to you!

It's a shame you think you might get sneered at in another topic, though.

p.s there's a book called something like 'The art of sneaking vegetables' that is brilliant. Can't remember the name, will check if anyone's interested?

That's fantastic .

5inthebed · 28/02/2009 16:07

Thats fantastic!!! Nothing is small or trivial when you have an ASD child who only eats one thing. Well done ds2

I made a similar post a few months ago when my ds2 licked a piece of pineapple. I was ecstatic.
