my ds1 went at 2.5 and is still there age 7. I personally think early entry is a brilliant idea-less chopping and changing for those kids that benefit from routine etc.

My ds's SN school only start taking kids in Reception, so 4/5yrs. However, there is a local SureStart nursery that is fully equipped to cater for all levels of disability and my ds started there when he turned 3yrs. It was great for him and for me.

My ds2 attends a SN nursery attached to a SN school. He will be starting reception in September, but will be doing half days at SN school and MS school.

He has really come on at SN nursery, as he is surrounded by specialists and it is very structured. He has started going to MS nursery one afternoon a week, and I'm having doubts whether or not I've done the right thing after I picked him up this week and he was playing away from the other kids, who were all sitting nicely on the mat waiting to be picked up. Will have to see how this pans out.
