yes - they are good, and v. non-irritating for kids videos. They have some nice classical music in the background, and they have a set of words which they repeat several times in slightly different contexts, showing real life kids playing etc.

DS did have some speech and can imitate when I used them, I would not be 100% sure if they would work as well with a child that doesn't copy. A MNetter (Jimjams) very kindly set me a few free Baby Bumblebee videos a while back. If you have a video player I am happy to pass them on to you for free.

Me! I think they're brilliant, they really kickstarted ds1's language skills at about 2.3, he picked up all the words from there really easily. I was honestly amazed as teaching him a word previously had taken a lot of work on my part. He couldn't imitate words at that point. Now he picks up new vocab really easily. I got the full boxed set off ebay for about £60 - we have used all of them. Start with the Vocabulary builders ones, there are 5 and I showed one to ds each day, cycling through them all until he'd got all the words.

We also use a dvd called "Your baby can read!" - purely because there's tons of vocab in there - colours, animals body parts etc. The unexpected plus side is he can actually now read all the words too, as well as say them..!

Only downside is that they're both a bit American, I do hear ds calling a zebra a zeebra fairly often!

no - when I was eent them I didn't have to pay postage, so it's only fair iyswim . I don't have CAt - so just e-mail me at milkfloatquack at hotmail dot com. My DS is unwell (tummy bug) so I probably won't make it out to the post office till early next week now.

let us know how you get on, took a few times with ds1 before it kicked in so don't worry if there isn't an immediate response to it!
