Taking a break from posting

After recent events elsewhere on mumsnet, mumsnet have suggested I take a break from posting for a while to see if I can recover a bit, just in case anyone is looking for me.

Good decision Amber! (Missed the offensive thread but you are always so wise and precise with words.)

Ah yes, I have to be precise with my words, otherwise I can get myself into trouble at the sort of speeds you wouldn't believe!! It's bad enough not remember who's who most of the time, nor being able to work out the dynamics in a long thread of messages, so I at least try to get my 'oftens' and 'sometimeses' right , and learn to duck some of the comments if I can.

I am very glad you are staying Amber. I still don't know much about ASD, and tbh I am still scared, but I know so much more and I am so much less scared that before thanks in no small part to you.

Thanks. I'm glad to be able to say something useful from time to time, but honestly there are so many others here who do too and there were lots of people fighting 'our corner' on that thread who I really admire and who in turn gave me courage when I needed it. My thanks to them also.

PS I'm cr*p at working out the right things to say in the right order. The bit about thanking everyone should have been in post 1 not post 106 but my brain won't co-operate after a stressful few days

Hurray! I'll always be grateful to you for the 'one socket' description, which has really helped my understanding of DS1.

Good for you . Don't know you that well as I'm fairly new to MN but you've posted on some of my threads. You're obviously very well respected and loved on MN so I'm also glad you've decided to stay as I'm sure I will need your advice at sometime in the near future.

Amber, so very glad you are staying, and thanks 2shoes and everyone for answers on jimjams. Am glad she's still around somewhere. Hopefully she'll pop up under her new guise on SN again soon!

I'm fairly certain I've seen a Jimjams post recently under a different name. I'm sure it was in SN as I don't get out much these days. I hope so.

I think I recognised JJs wisdom in other threads - hope she is OK.

I also wanted to just say I'm very glad you are not leaving. Your 'day in the life' thread was such an insight into AS and I learnt so much from you. All you posts are informative and much needed here.
