DS absolutely loves head stands and roly polys and balancing etc. We used to take him to tumbletots pre diagnosis (ASD) but as it became more structured it was completely unsuitable. We are in london but does nayone know of any SN gym class for children anywhere?

not an SN one, but my local council gym runs a gym class that would be more suitable, as first 1/2 hour is free play on trampolines etc, and then 2nd half hour is songs and play under parachute. don'tk now if it's a national thing, think it's called gym tots.

I used to take my ASD son to the fantastic Tooting gymnastics club. It's not SEN, and I had to go around with him to make sure he did anything and didn't just run riot, but they were so welcoming and it was so much fun but also safety conscious. It's run at Tooting Leisure Centre and I only stopped because he is doing more school now so it was hard to get there. It gave my son so much experience of being around other (nf) kids, and learning about spatial awareness etc, that I think the socialisation side was important as him learning to do roly polies etc. Might be worth calling Tooting Leisure centre and asking to speak to Mary Wright?
