Christmas Card - please help if you can

As some of you know DS has been permanently excluded because of his AS and is currently at home. He wasn't even allowed to say goodbye to his friends at school.

Anyway he has just rushed to the post to see of anything was for him (it wasn't) then sadly counted the cards he has got for Christmas - 2, and compared them to his sisters haul (over 20) and his poor little face was so miserable.

Could anyone possibly send him one? I know you are all really busy and I wouldn't normally ask but it just made me so sad to see him.

If you feel you could do this then please email me as I am a bit wary of putting my home address on here. My email is puttybrick at aol dot com.

Thanks everyone.

WMxx

MadLyCarrolingChristmasMouse · 22/12/2008 10:23

card on the way with two seconds class stamps on it hope they will count it as first.

hope you get loads.

eidsvold · 22/12/2008 10:25

would he like a postcard from Aus??

coppertop · 22/12/2008 10:36

I can't leave the house until dh gets home tonight (ds2 has been sick & I'm not sure whether it was through illness or not and so am erring on the side of caution) but will gladly post something tomorrow.

Will e-mail you now if that's okay.

mum24boyz · 22/12/2008 14:43

i think we are running a bit late now arent we for posting, do you think an e card would help a little. do you have a working printer, if so we can soon get his numbers up. hope it has all brought a smile to his face, i really feel for him, bless him.

coppertop · 22/12/2008 14:54

How do we do e-cards?

WedgiesMum · 22/12/2008 14:55

I cannot thank you all enought for this! when the pot came today he had 5 cards all to himself and he was absolutely delighted, he has had a big grin on his face all afternoon!

ecards and post cards are all most welcome as he feels now that people care about him.

He looked his cards and said 'But why are all these people sending me cards Mummy?' and I told him that my MN friends had been thinking about him and knew he would like some cards because he was missing his friends at school. He pondered this for a while then said thoughtfully but with a big grin 'Aren't they all lovely to think of me?' and I THINK he may be feeling that he can't be as bad as he feels he is IYSWIM.

He has even willingly gone with DH and DD for a walk with the dog so he must be feeling good.

I LOVE YOU ALL. THANK YOU!

I'm getting all teary-eyed now.

He sounds like a gorgeous little boy, WM.

WedgiesMum · 22/12/2008 15:09

We think he's gorgeous and tell him all day every day to try and make him feel loved and wanted. But I think the fact that other people have been thinking about him and wanting to do something to cheer him up has done far more for his self esteem than anything else lately.

((((((Big hugs)))))) to you all, especially at this time of year as it is a toughie. You are so kind to think of us in the midst of everything else christmassy/life-y.

I checked at the post office today and they assured me that a card sent 1st class today WILL arrive before the big day, so looks like he has a few more to come!

Moondancer · 22/12/2008 20:41

Sorry Feeling but a card posted first class today will probably not arrive. The Post Office should never have told you that it WILL. The last day for 1st class was saturday as they well know. It may arrive but it is very unlikely.

feelingbitfestive · 22/12/2008 20:43

They told me it was today! The swines! Probably to get me to pay twice the price to send a parcel 1st class. Grrrrrrrrr!
