DCD son havibg nightmares

Hi

my 9 year old son who has DCD is having nightmares about a film that he hasn't seen, he only watched the trailer on tv. I haven't a clue how to deal with this, any advice

Sorry Leamac, I didnt want to read and run.

What kind of film is it, sometimes I find the reality is better than the imagination. I suppose what I mean, is could you maybe let him watch it and explain it to him.

One thing we tried with ds is a dream catcher, and this did work for a while, although I realise that your ds is 9.

Perhaps just reassurance is the way with this, until he moves onto the next thing.

I don't even think its been released yet. I will try the dream catcher, my older daughter has one

oh golly the one with Keanu Reeves as the alien and lots of spheres and locusts?

Being naive here probably but can you find lots of pics of Keanu in celebrity goss mags smiling with gals on his arm etc? to show it is only a movie?

Can he be pinned down on what it is he finds so scary?
