NB - I know I may appear to be whingeing as DS has had a reasonable amount of SALT this year. but I'm concerned it's all going to evaporate next year!
DS, 4.9 is under the early intervention team (because of echolalia/need to monitor social communication) - seen three times last summer, once in September. (has done a couple of group therapy courses too, latter one ending beg. November). Was told SALT would see him after Xmas. But now had report through from group saying early intervention SALT won't see him until April. Other than plug the gap with private SALT, any suggestions ladies? Although he is now testing in normal range on some tests with visual stimuli (renfrew picture action) I feel he is probably a year behind at least (in terms of breadth of vocab/concepts, ability to initiate), and is still inconsistent in responding to question words (muddling of where/what/when) etc.
Would best argument for SALT review after Xmas be that he needs further input re:question words?
