As some of you may know DS2 had some nasty surger on his palate about six weeks ago. We had had some major anxieties about putting him through it but decided to go for it in the end.

Today, at school for the very, very first time ever he blew the whistle and it made a sound!

I know most children do this as babies or toddlers but for him the air has always come down his nose, therfore hindering him blowing and of course, more significantly, his speech. Whilst there is a long way to go and he will never speak normally I feel this is a step forward.

Just wanted to share really.

Thanks. Since we have been home he has been making a noise on the harmonica. His face is a picture, he looks quite startled.
