Well after a few tears (well lots) and a little pmt (well ok lots) I thought I would try and make amends, I really didnt mean to offend anyone. It was very naive of me and Im sorry.

Been a bit of a i173.photobucket.com/albums/w63/alfiemama/Fotolia_10331779_XS.jpg

Ps, I cant leave, I need you all

But I am deeply sorry for offending.

I've just found the original thread and it did actually cheer me up - just probably not in the way that you intended, Alfiemama.

It reminded me of Davros and the PoetryGate thread when everyone complained because she filled the Poetry section with them to keep them off the SN board. I think the Poetry section disappeared not long after.

So don't even think about leaving.

pipintroll · 29/11/2008 17:49

Don't be embarrassed about the other thread alfiemama. Some people like these sort of poems and others don't.

I don't like the poem but did not find it offensive.

No need to make amends

needmorecoffee · 29/11/2008 17:58

maybe you need to buy us all a drink

2AdventSevenfoldShoes · 29/11/2008 18:03

YOU DID NOT OFFEND ME
the poem did NOT YOU
leave the thread, it is funny, it shows how crap poems can be

misscutandstick · 29/11/2008 18:03

I'll have a virtual Diet Coke please! (thats as strong as it gets for me - what can i say? Im a cheap date!)

Incidentally you didnt offend me either - just not my proverbial cup of tea, but the fact that you found it and took the time to post it, hoping to cheer us all up... well that did the trick! thankyou.

You know what - I opened the thread earlier, scanned the first few lines, concluded it wasn't my thing at all and closed it again. It's certainly no big deal to me.

HelensMelons · 30/11/2008 09:09

Didn't offend me at all alfiemama. Actually quite enjoyed the thread - I ended up looking through some of my poetry books which was enjoyable, found a lovely one about chocolate that cheered me up no end.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow!
