Is a Developmental Paed significantly different from a Paed with special interest in Neurodisability and Epilepsy?

Hi all, I have noticed that there is great emphasis on this board that it is important to have assessment by a developmental Paed.

I thought that this is what we had, but the report has come through, and DD's consultant is titled "Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Neurodisability and Epilepsy"

Is that ok, or should she be being assessed by a specifically Developmental Paed?

Her Paed used the "schedule of growing skills 2" and gave her profile as:

Locomotor 24 months
Manipulative 24 months
Visual 36 months
Hearing & Language 36 months
Speech & Language 30 months
Interactive Social 18 months
Self care Social 36 months

She was 35 months at assessment.

I'm not sure what the difference is TBH, but I think I would be happy with what you've got for the time being.

Thank you, that's all I wanted to hear!
