Apart from taking there temp?

Dd2 has had a virus for almost 2 weeks but one minute she's sleepy, grumpy and not eating and the next she is running around with a ball and grinning

I can't ask her how she's feeling as she can not talk, its so frustrating, im not sure if i should send her to playgroup or not as i'm not sure if she feels well enough. She had a day off last week as she was coughing too much and she realy missed it but i don't want to send her if she feels like sh*t.

unless she has a temp or diarrhea or sickness i would send i did when my ds was non verbal

it mainly came in his behaviour id know something was up or loss of appetite more sleepy etc

if no temp or sickness then just send she may just have a cold and feel run down but still ok to go

my ds has bad cough but his adament he wants to go and there ok with this as long as no temp or sickness

if she seems well enough go by how her mood is

my ds had a virus and took 6 weeks before he was back to normal properly so may be the same for you and he is still having off days and its been 8 weeks since virus

dd2 is non-verbal and is v grumpy at the moment - this normally means she's not feeling well. Who knows what is wrong - without sickness/diarrhoea or obvious cold symptoms/temperature I just have to try and guess. It's got easier as she's got older and I'm more in tune with her iykwim.

ds1 just lies down.

Since about the age of 5 or 6 if I say 'where does it hurt' and offer him my hand he will take it and show me.

I also use paper. Write Poorly on one side Tired on the other (or Sad or something else I'm wondering about). Hold the paper up and say are you POORLY or TIRED pointing at each word as I say it. He'll them point. Surprised me the first time he did it as I had no idea he could.
