nmc, haven't spoken to you much personally but you are a valuable part of mn, especially the sn boards. And I'm sure you've gotten lots of help and support.

such is the nature of the beast I guess . mumsnet is a victim of its own sucess and not a patch on what it was 4 years ago. There is way too much boasting/smugness/and downright biatcing.

Sorry you're leaving though. I'm not sure why I'm still here, I guess theres just about enough fun left to keep me here a while longer.

I'm relatively new to MN and I have to say the 'smugness' etc nmc has mentioned smacked me in the face in the first 5 mins of lurking. Reminded of the toddler groups I used to go to in Richmond!! Oh god, does that make me a bitch?

I have tended to check straight out if I get a sniff of it. Many of them are using MN as a way of hijacking original threads to feed their own egos and ram their bloody perfect dc down your throat.

It's a shame that a few are spoiling it for parents and carers who genuinely need support, advice and invaluable guidance for very real issues

Maybe they should stick to MSN instead !!

TBH, I tend to only post here, where I can, or in student parents (not a parent yet but hey nowhere else can I have a conversation with loads of other students that doesn't involve heavy drinking!) so have only seen a little smugness. I'll be sad to see you go NMC, I always read your topics with interest.

The SN board is very supportive, it will be threads on the main site that NMC has been upset by. Don't go, someone's got to keep the red flag flying here!

NMC it would be such a shame if you left. We've spoken on some threads, but the one you helped me most with and to be honest you saved me an absolute fortune is the 'Brainwave' one. You were fab, and if you weren't on this board you will be soarly missed.

NMC forgive me, but I guess you are pretty stressed about the G tube op that is coming up. Always helps to get extremely cross about something/someone that matters very little. I mean the opinions of other mners, not your dd/ils of course.

I've been on that threat too NMC. There is a tiny (but sadly vocal) minority on those threads who are selfish arses. Their ignorance of your situation, and those of most others not in their privileged worlds, is quite shocking.

Most of us wish they would do as they threaten, and leave the country when the tax increase hits.
