I'm sure I saw a web address on here recently for a site where you can locate a private SALT. I've searched under everything i can think of, but can't find it. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks .

Yes! Thanks Socci. x

If anyone has a recommendation for a private SALT in SE London/Bromley who specialises in ASD, I'd be really grateful.

Beccaboo - I'm not sure if she specialises in ASD but I have used Kathryn Murrell in Petts Wood - details are on the linked site. She was very good and achieved a lot with my child

OMG- I used kathryn Murrel as well!!! (until we moved down to Devon). We got on well with her- in fact she kind of confirmed the autism and was very supportive of me - I was going a bit crazy at the time (ds2 had just been born, it was clear ds1 was autistic, was trying to get a dx etc). She was fine about ds1 wandering into the wrong room as well.

I've also used Philippa Benson in Sevenoaks- who was also good. (Started with her, she went on maternity leave, so switched to Kathryn).

Um I don't think Kathryn particularly specialises in ASD (whereas ds1's SALT in Devon did) but she has some experience (my son for starters ) Is now PECS trained (she did that during our time with her) and so would certainly be a good person to see. very approachable as well.

Thanks soapbox & jimjams, I'm going to call her, I'll let you know how I get on.

Gosh Jimjams what a co-incidence

She is really nice isn't she. She was such a good support to me and went out of her way to make the NHS sessions happen and to liaise with the NHS therapist.

I liked that she was very relaxed around DS1 especially when he was really little. Her children are similar ages to mine and I think that helps!

In fact her DD and my DD were both born on exactly the same day

Becaboo - I hope you get sorted out
