makaton sign for ' help'

just beginning on this with my non talking 27m old.I want to use this sign in the context of putting shoes on etc. can't find it on any sites & only have the first 2 stages of amaakton. If anyone could describe it to me I'd be very grateful.

Can't help you I'm afraid, only just starting with signalong. Could you adapt signs he already knows 'mum' 'come here' 'together'? Can he point? i.e. 'Mum' points at shoes, 'together'? Could you use the BSL alphabet and just teach hime the sign for 'H' to mean help just for you two to understand together and then, not being confused with 'help!' I'm in trouble/have hurt myself? As I recall (forgive me, its been many years) 'H' is signed by placing the palms together at right angles and sweeping the top one (right) along the bottom one (left) as if trying to brush something off it.

I'm sure someone will be along soon with the real sign, which will be much easier, I'm sure

Just to add to busybeingmum, thats the sign for 'help me'. If your the one offering help then start with right fist on left palm against body and then move them away from body.
