dd not mobile yet (3 yo) but need to get one at top of stairs for ds. Thinking long term so prolly worth getting decent one suitable for older sn child. She has severe gdd. Cheers

Hi ejb. Do you have a portage worker/OT? I already had a suitable stairgate for DD (who also has GDD) but they'd have been able to advise if I'd needed to buy/loan.

thankyou

Aww yr dd is delightful Wow they have matching locks and glasses

We were discharged from OT (dd managed to pull the peg men out which obviously proves OT isn't needed anymore ) Need to get refered to new community one so will ask

Oh just saw yr other thread re statementing. Felt the same about dd's draft last year. We got it changed. Whilst it might serve for nursery I tried to bear in mind that it would be template for all future ones.

DD was supposed to stack bricks at her last OT assessment, but she tried to eat them instead. Hence continuing OT...
I don't think I'm going to have a problem with the local authority re DD's statement--I rang and told them informally why I wasn't happy with it, got the OT to email in support, and they seemed very helpful. Despite this I have put all my concerns in writing and told them what I expect them to do about it!

OT have provided ours, however, we have them on the kitchen door as well, and decided to go for a dog gate instead lol
