Just been reading the thread with the baby genius, couldn't think of anything wise to post but was interested in the whole reflux thing.

DS2 is 5 with mild cp/mld/asd etc.
Anyway for the last few weeks he has been moaning about chest & stomach pains etc. The GP checked him over & paed cardio thinks its reflux not cardio related which was the initial concern.
He has been given Gaviscon medicine, I managed to get a couple of doses in him by force feeding but no difference, now he wont take it at all. Even squirting it down him he manages to bring it up through his nose, (a real talent).
Not sure what my next move should be.
He was born at 28 wks & did have reflux coming back up in to his lungs & we had a few close shaves, he was on powdered gaviscon with Nutriprem for the 1st 18 months.
He also has lactulose as otherwise is constantly struggling to go.
Any help or advise Dr Riven would be welcome.

Thanks Heartmummy, I know i'll have to take him back but just don't want to get fobbed off.

I don't know why it has suddenly started again either? I'm not aware that its diet related, his diet is self limited anyway.

He does seem to wake up with it, so not sure if its painful at night. Difficult to tell as his sleep is rubbish anyway.

Yeh i'm sure they must have a few tricks up their sleeve. He might not actually need it but just not sure how they will get to the bottom of this otherwise.
Thanks for all the info.
