took dd to physio today, she did extremely well, physio is very pleased with her

was talking about dd,s lack of toileting and how we,ve tried everything, she asked was a developmental paed involved,
we said well she was but she referred her back to her.

she looked surprised and said "oh are you
blacklisted then?
we started laughing and said yes probably.

well if thats what happens when you fight for your children then thats their problem she said.

its not often that you meet a healthcare professional who is so supportive of parents against the system, just thought id share it with you!

phisio's are wonderful people. when dd was little and not yet in the sn school system , they were the people who gave me ths most support.

great physio but what's with the developmental paed? Can they get away with stuff like that?

didnt help her if we are, shge's got ds3 instead LOL

we kicked off with the first developmental paed last year for dxing her and withdrawing it 2 days later so she then referred to the 2nd developmental paed (who works for the nhs same borough as our lea) who tested dd for fragile x and re-referred her back to the paed who deals with her asthma and eczema, he wanted to discharge her cos her ashtma etc is under control and isnt a developmental paed, now she,s under camhs psych for reassessment for ASD.

oh yes peachy its a very select group the blacklisted group to join you have to:

kick off when professionals do wrong
fight for your child
refuse to be fobbed off
sometimes be accused of being difficult and
hard to deal with
have peed off the old boy network.

i have often thought we live parellel lives peachy, the psych who tried to fob us off over DS now has DD on her books!
