Has anyone made a written complaint to DWP about DLA and got anywhere with it, do they respond etc

I have. They admitted fault, a half-hearted apology given that was more of a fob off and I received a small amount of compensation.

It rather depends on the nature of the complaint. Not asking you to disclose that here, but it is a rather significant consideration.

Thankyou for your reply. I sent in a MR in September last year, SD 24/9/25, I’ve made numerous phone calls since then to find out what’s happening as it’s been 10 months & just get fobbed off when I ring. Was told it was with a DM in April then at the start of this month I was told it looked like that DM had stopped working for DWP so my claim was just left, kept calling to be told it was with another DM, then got told that DM was away at training so hadn’t looked at the claim. All these call handlers have said they would escalate to their manager & I actually managed to get through to someone in the reconsideration team yesterday who put me onto someone in escalations & they said my claim has not ever been escalated & it has never been assigned to a DM, it’s still in the holding queue, so they was going to investigate & get it assigned asap (apparently). Sorry for long reply but it’s been going on over 10 months now & im just hitting a brick wall each time I call
