do any of you who get DLA inform DWP when your kids go into hospital? i phoned up DWP today about a different matter and was told i should inform DLA that dh is in hospital, as they may stop his benefit.

It say taht DLA may only be paiyable for the 28 days if you are recieving fee NHS treatment in hospital. If you go into hosital you MUST phone or write to us straight away.

coppertop · 28/01/2005 22:54

My guess is that it would be 4 consecutive weeks.

sparklymieow · 28/01/2005 22:54

first 28 days

misdee · 28/01/2005 22:55

so as dh has been in and out they shouldnt stop his benefit till he has been in for 4 consectative weeks?

no, I don't know why they can stop it anyway. He is in hospital due to the condition he claims for

misdee · 28/01/2005 23:00
