Will we lose our school place?

my daughter 13 has been out of school for two and a half years due to not coping at mainstream. We have been desperately searching for a specialist school in the area and one has finally come up and she has been offered a place. The headteacher called last week and said we should bring her in to look round. My daughter is now refusing to go. I’m terrified she will have her place taken away from her. It’s a school that specializes in EBSA so I’d like to think they won’t. What do I do??

Where are you in the process, is the school named in DD’s EHCP?

Is the school wholly independent?

BTW, is/was alternative provision in place?

Yes we have an EHCP. it’s bot wholly independent. She has a tutor but it’s not worked out.

DD has an EHCP, but is the school named in section I of the EHCP?

If the tutor didn’t work out, the LA should be providing other alternative provision.
