child dla tribunal

bit of a long one im afraid, so my son won his DLA tribunal yesterday and was awarded the higher rate care component. He was on lower rate from 2023-2025 on review his lost the award entirely. i am in process of appealing.

but since the award for higher rate has been approved by the tribunal, i am clueless on how to voice this on UC. he was getting the disabled child element for the period he was on it. I tried to put it as a change but its not ongoing as his award has ran out now

any advise would be brilliant , i hope i explained this well

Applied in 2023
An award of LRC until 2025 was made
MR no.1
You submitted appeal no.1
At renewal in 2025 the award was stopped
MR no.2
You submitted appeal no.2
Appeal no.1 was heard and the outcome was HRC awarded 2023-25
You are now still waiting for appeal no.2?

You can report a change in the normal way on your journal. Then leave a message explaining the situation and saying you need the difference between the disabled child element and severely disabled child element from X to Y. And the same for the carer element. Although if the Tribunal was only yesterday, it is unlikely to be on the system yet.

hi thanks for getting back to me, yes you got it right. i am yet to do the appeal for tribunal yet but will do next week.

i will try this on UC now, its all so confusing they dont get back to me i was meant to have a call yesterday but no one called.
