Just wondering how and when to approach my daughters additional needs with school? She is starting reception this year. She won’t have an EHCP but has hypotonia and hypermobility with a gross motor delay. She will certainly struggle with PE and maybe also things like sitting on the floor for longer periods and writing and gets fatigued more easily than other children. At the moment she can’t walk down stairs by herself although this might not be an issue as the school is all on one level.

After national offer day next week, when you know where DD will be going, request a meeting with the SENCO.

Think about requesting an EHCNA.
