Has anyone who received DLA/CA been recently please?

Am due to take my 2 DS's and DSS on Saturday. I get middle rate Care Component DLA for DS1 and also Carers Allowance. I have just started to realise that some places let you in free/special rate in this instance.

If so do I need to just take proof, like DLA/CA letter? Will they ask what is wrong with him? He is almost 9 and I don't want him to feel awkward and embarrassed.

Many thanks for your advice.

I don't take proof but it is pretty obvious that ds1 is disabled -especially if he's been asked to wait in a queue.

If you want to be safe I'd take the DLA letter.

it is not apparent that DS1 would get DLA, not immediately anyway.

That's why I don't want them asking, I would rather just pay.
