DLA evidence letters

I've finally got round to ordering / receiving DLA forms for my DD

I have her ASD report from CAHMs, do I send the full report or just the letter saying she has been diagnosed?

I have letters / emails from school about her hurting herself, others, sensory needs, a letter from a nurse and social worker about her sensory needs and reports from social services about her running off / needing extra security around the house + about her behaviour

It's enough isn't it?

I have letters / emails spanning from 2020 to 2025, do I send them all or just the most recent or the "worst" ( her behaviour and needs are up and down, some days she doesn't need as much support and other days she needs a lot )

Full report for diagnosis, I would send everything from social worker and the nurse but not the school emails as it's more about what care and supervision you and other adults give rather than having the description of their behaviour if it makes sense.
The cerebra DLA guide is definitely something I d suggest reading before you do the form, lots of good examples of how to answer questions in there.

Hi, thank you, the emails from school say things like she gets one to one support from the TA, has had to be reststrained, struggles to build bonds with peers, is impulsive, poor concentration, needs transition periods between lessons / classrooms, needs support with social relations ( this is what i mean about its from 2020 to 2025 this has been going on for so long )

I thought they would be helpful but will they not?

I'll have a look at cerebra now

It's more about current needs so I wouldn't go with anything older than a couple of years apart from diagnosis paperwork.
Have the school done a written support plan and a positive handling plan (they should definitely have one if they ve restrained them) as that would be good evidence whereas if you sent emails they won't be as clear or necessarily signed appropriately, much easier for the decision maker to see from plans and reports rather than conversations.

It is about quality of evidence rather than quantity. If you have evidence from the last 12 months, I wouldn’t send anything older than a year other than the diagnosis report (and the most recent social care paperwork if you don’t have anything from them from the last 12 months). I would send information from the school if it is recent and shows DD’s needs and the support DD receives.
