Movement ABC Assessment Report

My ds is in year 3 and struggling significantly in school. He had an assessment with the OT a few weeks ago and scored in 2nd percentile overall in the ABC test. He's always fallen over a lot since being little, however we put it down to him always being in rush (he runs everywhere, rarely walks).

The results of the report have caught me a little off guard, we knew he struggled a bit with fine motor skills, particularly handwriting. However dyspraxia wasn't really on our radar. It was quite upsetting to read the report and realise just how difficult things are for him. I guess I'm just posting for advice as to what our next steps should be? I've contacted the to discuss how we can make sure he's better supported in class, and have got him several things to use in the classroom. Previously when I've asked for support for him school haven't been very forthcoming. He's well behaved and not disruptive, however he really struggles with anxiety. He's keeping it all bottled up in school then exploding at home. Thanks

Did the OT not make recommendations for support and next steps? If not, go back to them because they should.

If the school refuses to support DS, complain. Also consider requesting an EHCNA.
