Is your kid in school? Seems to be kids in school taking longer because of the summer and schools getting back to decision makers but kids went back to school almost a month ago, still a long time to be waiting. My kids just turned 4 and I never had any evidence from nursery, only the paediatrician and health visitor. I could be wrong but could be the reason it’s taking longer or it’s just the luck of the draw on who table it lands on and if they get them done faster X

Has those April dates received a decision? There seems to still be 4-19th March still waiting on here, I’ve been checking my Monzo bank and waiting for a letter but I just assumed they are going back to finish March dates now.

You’re still waiting too! I really don’t know what’s happening with coc they seem to be missing chunks of scan dates and going into later ones. I hope you hear something soon, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coc go over 30 weeks so hopefully this will be your week for a decision.

Yeah all received decisions, sure one went from MRC to HRC HRM, then the other 2 where awarded HRM. 2 of them said they where the end of April but didn’t say the exact date, letters do take longer than the payment to come through so hopefully people get good news in the next week that are still waiting from March X

SD 19/03 and still haven't heard anything

Im just calling because I’ve just received a amended ehcp, nothing has changed only the funded hours have been increased, it seems silly printing off and sending it all in hopefully they can just put a note of it on the system. That’s good news it sounds like they must be in to April, I still don’t think they’ve done mine though or it’s been refused because the payment would be pending the day after decision is made with Monzo and still nothing and I received her usual payment this week too

I’m the 17/03, had a phone call yesterday to double check some details and then the usual spiel of “if you get payment” and a decision would be made yesterday so it shouldn’t be much longer x

I’m 4/3 and I rang last week and was told it was still in holding queue so not expecting a letter anytime soon! x

Ive just got off the phone, it’s waiting to be allocated to a decision maker, it’s the first time they have said that to me i usually get they can’t give out information and there’s no timeframe. She’s added a note to say the funding hours have been increased on the ehcp so atleast right now I know it’s not a decline.

Hope I hear soon it’s been such a wait I’ve not much patience left now x

If it goes over 30 weeks I would be calling to make a complaint, hopefully you receive a decision before that but with later dates being awarded there isn’t any excuse for you to be waiting this long.

I know the feeling!! I was just over 27 weeks and now I know a decisions been made is making it even worse not knowing but I don’t have the guts to phone incase it’s declined again x

Hi my sons coc was scanned 7th may, iv just phoned asking how its going and to see if i need to send something in. She said its with a case manager as it has someone's name against it. Now she doubled checked and said its definitely with a case manager but I know what the call handlers are like. Is it worth phoning again later to double check and clarify it. As I know there's no timescales with coc x thanks x

I gave in and phoned. Call handler was lovely but did say the decision maker hasn’t even hinted in the case notes what the decision is and couldn’t open the letter due to being password protected 😬

I have just called again today been with decision maker 4 weeks now, scan date 19/6. I got told to vocally back after 2 weeks it's been 4 weeks and still no decision so the lady on the phone said she's going to email decision maker to find out what's happening. Has anyone had this before?

phoned today for an update and they said a decision was made this morning- the lady wa lovely and told me my son was awarded high rate care until 2026! Good luck everyone!

Yeah he’s 4, just started reception, oh! I didn’t realise that the schools were contacted. He was in preschool before summer holidays and they gave me loads of evidence for it. I honestly think they are just picking names out of a hat lol xx

Nothing for us yet either. I think im around 2 weeks behind you. I just called and said its in a que I asked if they know how much longer and she said no but theres a massive backlog for MRs 🙃 im so fed up

Tbh achools are very rarely contacted so I wouldnt worry about that too much

I hope it is soon! I am on week 29 as of yesterday, I’m ringing tomorrow just to see if they received and scanned the evidence I sent last week! I keep seeing April and May being done yet quite a few early March waiting. All they said on the phone last week is not assigned to anyone yet but she couldn’t see it being much longer! x

Oh good! Cos he’s moved from preschool to a new primary school and they don’t know him aswell as preschool did cos he was there almost 2 years! Thank you x
