DLA decision wait times

I submitted a change of circumstance form for my son, my scan date was the 31/12/2024 it is currently the 5/8/2025 and I still haven’t heard anything back. Is anyone else experiencing similar weather it be a new claim, a change of circumstances or a renewal what are the current wait times? should I have heard something by now or is this normal for it to take this long. I’m just assuming there is a back log because when you ring the helpline it says if you are calling for an update they can’t give you one so please hang up now. It’s normally between 12-20 weeks that you hear back from them and I’m currently on 31 weeks and haven’t heard nothing. Beginning to think we have been forgotten about 😂Thanks for any help anyone can give me

Hi there is a forum called Dla wait times 75, there is a few of us waiting for a COC but no one has waited 31 weeks, is the 31 weeks from the date you posted your form or the scan date? I would call them and press option 4 at the end where is says anything else because you should have heard at 31 weeks

Many, many COCs are taking longer than 12-20 weeks. Many are taking 24-29 weeks. A few longer, some several weeks longer. I would call to make sure it hasn’t been lost, but 31 weeks isn’t unheard of.

No I posted it early December, 31/12/2024 is my scan date. I phoned up at week 20 and got told if I hadn’t heard anything by week 25 to call back again which I did and week 25 they told me they still had no update for me and to stop calling and they would text me once a decision has been made and I have still heard nothing

The text messages are very random a lot of people don’t receive a text message, I would call and see if a decision has been made. 31 weeks is crazy wait times!
