Hi everyone . I am a new mom and i m struggling from OCD . I want your opinion .

My 13 month-old baby girl has great eye contact , is babbling a ton , point to ask , point to share interest ( not as much as before but she does it ) , she shows us her toys , she is giving to us , she understands what i am saying, she points when i ask her where is dada etc , she has two words foo for food and da for down . I think maybe says mama but I don't know for sure . She is checking in while playing. She never plays alone for more than 15 minutes . When she likes something she will turn back and look at me and smile .she plays peek a book and hide and seek. She imitates movements , she is clapping, waving, she responds to her name 9 / 10. She is a great sleeper and she eats all the food without a problem.

My concerns are she is hand flapping when she is frustrated. Really rarely does it without reason ( up and down her hand ) for 5 secs maybe but she stops when i give her a toy . She likes also to put her hand under water . ( You may sound ridiculous but i saw it as a sign of autism on tik tok) . She covers her ear when she is trying to sleep. Only there.

Tell me your opinion please . Can be autism????I have seen so much videos , so much information and i don't know what is a sign or what is a baby thing anymore. Thank you

Very unlikely from this description.

Do you think??? I don't know what to believe anymore from those informations.

Hand flapping is stimming, it’s done to self sooth and is developmental normal at this age. There are some adults who still do it but who aren’t autistic.

If you said she played alone for longer at this age then it would potentially raise concerns but only potentially be a concern and in it’self would just be unusual.

Most kids like to play with water.

I have one child diagnosed with autism and another one I suspect and I often spot children out and about who I think could be autistic. Nothing about your post makes me think your child maybe autistic.

She does it when she is frustrated. I don't know if that means something

It means she is upset so she is doing some thing which makes her feel better. The same way some children suck them thumb.

Ok thanks a lot for everything.
