Loop ear plugs?

Annoyingly I missed them in prime day last week but I've been considering trying loop ear plugs for DC as I understand you can still hear people talking to you etc but they kill the background a bit?

Obviously there's a high risk of them getting lost so not sure if we should try the knock offs first!

I don't like them. They feel like normal ear plugs to me. I can barely hear anything.i do have quite small ears, so maybe that's why?

I like flares though. I can hear everything but they take the edge off.
