DLA Payment

Today I was due to receive my daughters regular DLA payment - £412.40 (Middle care, low mobility), this was received as normal but I also received a second payment today of £615.10.

I sent off her renewal forms a while back and recevied the letter back.. think the renewal was due to start June but I cant locate the letter. Sure it confirmed her again for middle rate care and low rate mobility.

Could anyone explain what this second payment is and if its an error? Couldn't manage to get through to them today and I'm working the rest of the week so will be difficult to find the time to call up.

£615.10 is the difference between MRC and HRC for 17 weeks. 9 weeks at the 24/25 rates and 8 weeks at the 25/26 rates.

It is ((£108.55 - £72.65) x 9) + ((£ 110.40 - £73.90) x 8) ‎ = £615.10

If you can’t find the letter, call to check next week if you can’t this week.
