Just having a pity party.

Ds5 is 10 and has a cousin the same age. They are both doing sats next week. Ds5 is autistic and generally oblivious to what's going to happen. He is academically able but despite a lot of support he struggles with getting it down on paper or telling the scribe the answers. He usually gets good marks for what he does but will often only do 10-20% of the paper. The hope is that he will finish the paper. Bil was giving DN motivational speeches about SATS today and it just reminded me that DS5 is different.

Thank you. The silver lining is that he isn't remotely anxious about either the sats or going to secondary school.
