Spoke to dd's teacher and she is so pleased with how dd is getting on. They assessed her reading, spelling and comprehension in literacy and she came out so high that dd and 1 other boy in the class are taken out and taught in a group of 10 the other 8 are year 2 students. Dd being nearly 5 and half and an August baby is the youngest in yr1. So will be with children more like ds's age who is 7!
They also said that lately her behaviour has really calmed down and she is so much more receptive. Always gets her work done and is actually taking pride in her work as she used to rush it before.
They are just so pleased with her and I am so proud. It just amazes me that she excells at literacy yet has a language disorder. So has mastered, reading, spelling etc. but still struggles to have a 2 way conversation for too long. Bizarre isn't it?
