DLA application - heard nothing

I applied for DLA for my 6 year old DS. He has autism, dyspraxia and we are awaiting assessment for ADHD. I posted the form on 6th March. I didn’t hear anything for a few weeks so I phoned them earlier this month to make sure they had received it - they confirmed they have received the form but they have not yet “registered” it, and basically not to phone them again and they’ll contact me once the form has been registered. Is this the same as a scan date that people talk about on mumsnet? I know I’ll be waiting for a decision on the claim for months but is it normal to not have been registered 7 weeks after posting it? I’ve since received 2 more reports from his paediatrician and physiotherapist, should I wait until the form is registered to send these in?

Yes, scan date and registered essentially mean the same thing. Not all receive notification that it has happened. You can send additional evidence now.
