DLA Renewal payment

Hi, hoping someone can help.

Sent off my sons renewal in Jan, and his claim was until the end of April. I have just had a payment of £172.20 into my bank. He currently gets HRC. Can someone explain what this payment is? Thank you

£172.20 is 6 weeks of LRM at the 24/25 rates.

I would call to check to be sure, I didn’t think they backdated renewals?

Thank you both. I did call, my son has been awarded LRM which is what the payment was.

amazing news, would this payment have been made because the new award was before your last payment?
