How long until DLA claim is scanned?

Hi everyone

Called for DLA form: 14/2/25
Posted DLA form: 12/3/25 (had to be back by 28/3/25)

I phoned today (31/3/25) and they said there’s no record of it, it hasn’t been scanned on to the system. Do you think it’s been lost?

I posted it freepost using the envelope they provide. I didn’t realise a lot of people did it signed/tracked. Because they gave you the freepost envelope I thought that was the best thing to use!

any experience of it taking this long for the form to be scanned on to the system? I’m really worried as it contains lots of personal information.

Please don’t worry, they take ages for them to send a letter saying it’s been scanned on or even acknowledge they even have it, when they receive it they will write on the envelope the date it has been received which will be your scan date but it doesn’t officially go straight onto the system. Freepost takes a lot longer, I posted my sons first claim form that way and I didn’t receive confirmation for about 5 weeks so now I send anything to them signed for next day as I know it will show as it’s been scanned on the next day.

Ok thank you that does reassure me, I hadn’t got a letter but was surprised when he said that he had no record of it. I just wish I had sent it recorded delivery now as who knows when it got there and when it will be scanned in!

I wouldn’t worry yet, but check again in a couple of weeks.

How does this work as freepost doesn’t have an address for Royal Mail to add for tracking details at the post office?

Hey posted renewal off first class over 2 weeks ago, called dla today as not had a txt or letter to say received it it’s not on system yet they’ve sent new forms and extended by 6 weeks has any one else had this and renewal finally turn up
