So frustrated - shoes for AFO's

My LB is 3.5 and he was given AFO's last September. He had DAFO's before that and we were able to buy standard trainers that did up with Velcro as the DAFO's were thin and flexible. Then we got the new ones and nothing standard fit. I bought some Billy's in October which I thought were great despite the £60 price tag but they're nearly knackered already. I'm just so frustrated at the lack of options in the UK for toddlers with splints and it seems like there is a huge gap in the market. I tried the M&S adaptive ones but could only get 1 zip up and the ONLY thing physio and OT recommend are Nike Flyease despite me repeatedly telling them that they don't come in his size. The thought of having to replace Billy's every few months at £60 a go is crap tbh. Anyone found anything else that fits AFO's?

Nike court borough worked for my son in AFOs! As did quite a few trainers from Next 🙂

DS1 is older but we use lace up trainers in styles we can open wider. We haven’t found any of the adaptive footwear available particularly helpful.
