Zoom ADHD Assessment

Has anyone's child had an online ADHD assessment? My DD has one next Friday. She's only 7. It's been arranged via the Right to Choose, and whilst it's great that it's happened so quickly (2 months) the correspondence has been shocking and I have no idea what to expect.

Will I be able to stay with her? Will they need to talk to me in private?

I'm trying to work out the practicalities

We completed a lot of paperwork during Covid times, and had a few assements via Zoom/Teams, and then an in-person check with ours still at the end of covid for observation, where only one parent was able to be present.

So the assessment wasn't all done and dusted in one go? That's the impression I got
We've submitted lots of questionnaires already - as has her teacher.

Not sure to be honest as I guess it will depend on the NHS Trust that you are in or how the deal if it’s privately done. Defiantly I would have thought they will need to see the child to observe and it depends of how they react to different activities in our case. Ours was also a multidisciplinary team for ADHD/ASD and other ND patients

It will depend on who the provider is and each individual case.

We didn't 2 x developmental assessments on Zoom but then our Son had a face to face meeting too, on his own. He's bigger though - just gone 15. The zoom appointments we attended were fantastic, really thorough and the lady doing them was lovely.

We had the assessment today and she was diagnosed there and then. It was very difficult to get her to focus on the computer screen or sit still - but I suppose that's partly what they're assessing. All in all it went well

Feeling pretty dejected about the diagnosis though.
