Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

SD 24.10 NC - DM called this morning to ask some questions and said instead of sending the SALT report over to just read it all out on the phone. He said a decision will be made by the end of the day. So nervous now!

We are 22wks 2 days. Called this morning & its still in the queue! Well he said status says awaiting decision and said he couldn't see that it was with anyone

Hi lovely. Just to let you know mine was reward Friday and iv just got a pending payment set to come through on Wednesday for back payment.

They’re really dragging it out. I haven’t bothered calling, they don’t seem too helpful so I think that would just add to the frustration.

Still waiting on a COC from 16/9 🫠

Still with decision maker Fingers crossed they start to make decisions for September this week these last 2 and 1/2 weeks gonna drag hope you all hear soon 🙏

Has anyone heard from 24/10 NC yet

@Kimmum1 im the same date as you I rung last Thursday on week 18 and was told it wasn’t with a decision maker yet

I rang the same day too. When I see people with same day as us. I will call again 🙂

The DM called me today asking me some questions. Apparently will have a decision by the end of today, went to a DM on Friday afternoon

Mr 18/09 been with dm for 4 weeks today just got off the phone still no decision send new hospital letters Friday they have got them an they scanned on the computer to on

NC SD 15.10. So fed up of the wait now, I’ve even wrote a MR up to amend when it’s declined as I’ve seen awards by the bucket load before and after our SD.

6 year old daughter on the ASD pathway and getting assessed for ADHD. Struggles immensely at school with both learning ability and behaviour. She’s had the EP come in 3 times in 2 years and has an EHCP with no fighting to get it.

I finally heard back with good news too :) Sc 02/10/2024.. x

Hi guys my son got awarded SC 23/10/24 awarded on 28th feb.

When I go to do a chnage if curcumstance on UC it's asking for the date the chnage took place. Do I go from the date of my scan date or the awarded date?

@Lauram91 neither.. You go from the date your dla claim is backdated to.. That's usually before the scan date if you called up for the forms.. You either have to wait for the letter from dla to say when your claim is from or call them and ask them for the backdated date dla has been awarded from.

My little boy has now learnt how to remove himself from his car seat so can now no longer have him in the car currently . And he won't walk either

Hoping to hear soon from DLA and it be a positive outcome so I can get him a specially adapted car seat as they are so expensive 😞
