Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Speech and language referral , letter from education people to say they have been advised she has learning disability/ special needs , clear hearing test letter , acceptance from paediatric services for assessment.

Frankadoodle · 18/02/2025 11:56

@Cozy2025 this is similar to mine.

Autism pathway acceptance letter
Speech and language letter
Letter from his nursery explaining his needs and struggles etc

How old is your child ? Mine is 4 in 2 weeks .

My NC is 29/10 so I'm still waiting for a decision

Has anyone seen any more October dates on Facebook groups awarded? I'm early November but hoping we see the awards head towards mid/end October soon! Thanks x

I’m 16/10 and just called, told it’s still in holding queue 😣

New claim SD 8/10- decision has been made but told me I have to wait for the letter. Does this mean it’s been declined?

Not necessarily. If been awarded backpay usually goes in before you receive a letter.

Do you have portage? My 2 year old was under them from 18 months which really helped with things. At this age it's really hard without evidence from professionals.

Frankadoodle · 18/02/2025 12:52

@candywoo I know this comment wasn't for me . But I have portage for my little boy they have been involved for over 2 years now and they have been so helpful !

Yes they were great with getting all the referrals going, he's been seen by SALT and diagnosed now. It was good to have as back up aswell to see that what I was saying about my son was very true otherwise it was all my word. Now he's in nursery they've stopped.

Rmarie · 18/02/2025 13:05
