Variable earnings- carers allowance

As my earnings are variable I submit pay slips and I’m paid carers allowance in arrears. I’ve had two this last year that were over the limit.
Usually it’s a fairly quick process, but I submitted pay slips for October/ November in early December and I’ve heard nothing and had no money either.
As anyone else found there’s a delay. I chased it up a few weeks ago

There is often a delay. You have been ‘lucky’ until no if you haven’t experienced that until now.
